Random Beauty Tips

Hello again my Dolls! I’m back with a rather interesting article. We don’t always have time for a full makeup tutorials to learn makeup tricks. And while I do love watching a good tutorial, I just want to learn specific things. So today I will be sharing random makeup tips. Yup, random tips. Just a few things that might answer any questions you have or maybe some tricks you didn’t think might be cool to try.

Random lovely things:

1.       Don’t forget to add concealer to your lips. The concealer will neutralize your natural lip color allowing  for your lipstick to show true and it’ll also help for it to last longer because it will act as a primer as well.
2.       Don’t have an eyebrow pencil? Use a shadow. A dark espresso works great for brunettes, while a lighter brown works for blondes. But please don’t ever use black. Even if your hair is dyed black, black brows will never look natural and can run the risk of washing you out no matter what skin tone you have.
3.       When applying your powder with a brush don’t swipe it on your skin, you run the risk of wiping off your freshly applied foundation. Instead,  pat the powder on your skin. It will ensure that it is truly setting your foundation into your skin for a much longer lasting result.
4.        When buying foundation, if you have the opportunity to try it before you buy it, apply a thick stripe on your chin. The key is to wait a min or two before making your decision. Foundation oxidizes. Which means it can react to the oxygen when in contact with your skin. Some foundations can turn darker or even have an orange tint to it when left on your skin for a moment. And don’t forget a thick stripe. A thick stripe will give you the best results, where a thin one can easily get blended into your skin and not give an accurate result.
5.       Try a stippling brush for applying your foundation. To use, just do circular movements. That gives a fabulous airbrush like result without streaking or brush marks like other foundation brushes. *check out pic below*
6.       If you get mascara on your eyeshadow don’t fret. Just get a clean shadow brush and brush off the spot. It won’t interrupt any work you did.
7.       I always apply my foundation, powder and blush BEFORE I do my eyes. If you ever do a mistake with you eyeliner, do not grab the makeup remover. Simply get a small clean shadow brush, dip it into concealer or foundation and “erase” whatever mistake you need to correct. Trust me, it’s way easier then makeup removing all those layers of makeup you just did and then to reapply. Concealer is just as awesome.
