Home remedies for Acne

Is acne cramping your style?  We all know this is not the time to be suffering  from any breakouts! With all these parties to attend and new adventures coming your way, a pimple is the last thing you need. Have no fear my Chicas there are solutions you can find right in your pantry, or at least during your trip to the grocery store while shop for dinner or in my case brownies. LoL. I got just the remedies for at home treatments. In my opinion sometimes going natural is the way to go. All these products out there may do the job, but sometimes you can get a reaction that can make the problem worse. Or even they don’t work at all. I mean when you think about it, what did everybody do back in the day before we ever had Proactive? I’m a firm believer that sometimes you just gotta go natural.
A lot of the items can be found at local grocery stores and natural food stores. If making a big batch, you might be better suited to get some of the ingredients from online natural stores. You can find great deals on essential oils from soap making websites and such. You can buy containers at Walmart for storing any extras you may have. It’s even a great activity to do with your friends one night and have a spa party.
Let’s get to it!  We’re gonna start with a blemish zapper. Great for when you’re not having a full breakout, but have some spots to treat.  After ,we’ll tackle an acne mask. This is great to soak up any extra oils you’re producing and to dry out any acne that has surfaced.

Blemish Zapper

Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 drop Tea Tree Oil

Prep:
Combine vinegar and essential oil. Use a cotton ball to apply mixture on to blemish right before bed.

Acne Mask

Ingredients:
2 ounces Ground Oats
2 ounces Ground Almond Meal
2 ounces of Kaolin Clay (cosmetic clay)
1/4 cup Myrrh
4 tablespoon Honey
1/2 cup of Water, Carrot Juice, or Green Tea

Prep:
Mix dry ingredients for 4-5 min, then stir in honey and mix thoroughly. Add liquid and mix again.
Apply thick and let sit for 10-15 mins. Rinse with warm water (never hot).
Use 3 times weekly for 3 weeks, then use just once a week.

Remember to have patience, sometimes acne just has to run it’s course. But rest assure that when you start treating  AND preventing the problem, the road will get a lot easier.
Have fun my loves. Stay Fabulous and Fierce ~~~ XoXo MiMi
